Literature Text

They had been walking for many moons by now, but it was by no sense of the word boring. They had passed many beautiful pockets of forest, and they were never without someone to talk to or something to do. It may have been tiring each day, but a fun challenge nonetheless. The only thing putting Fate on edge was the quietness of his people in regards to him. Often back home he would speak to many other cats and foxes for hours, however now it seemed they would rather not speak to him in the slightest. He shrugged it off as just them being tired or angry as he was making them walk long distances. But they often rested and stopped, and he took everyone's ideas into consideration at all times. He may of been stubborn, but not cruel. Watching everyone talk to each other and not him was disheartening, but he learned to live with it for the time being; there must be a good reason for everyones choices.

The only people who would talk to him were the three brothers, and even that was seldom.
"When will we reach the mountains?" Relic, the cream fox, asked him worriedly. It was dark, and the only thing Fate could see properly of Relic was his dull green eyes which glinted in the dark.
"By tomorrow, midday." Fate replied,
"Thank goodness." Relic sighed in relief, then he looked up at Fate once more. "Fate, do you have a minute?" He asked,
"Of course." Fate replied, curiosity beginning to ripple in his mind.
"Could you come with me just outside where we're resting? There's something Evolo wanted me to show you." He explained, turning around and walking slowly out of the place the camp rested; turning his head back to look at fate and see if he would follow.
"Yes, of course." Fate walked after him as he was led out of the darkened forest floors and into the place where the ground got rougher and rockier as it led up to the mountains. It was much brighter here, and Fate could see Relics' soft cream-coloured fur clearly, despite it still being low light.

They reached a small alcove, where there were smooth stones under foot and little foliage. From what he could see in dull light, the stones were soft and like gravel, light grey and beige in colour. Fate looked around and saw nothing of interest, he turned to Relic with a questioning stare.
"Just wait a second." Relic murmured, his eyes darting around nervously.
Fate waited as asked, and had let his guard down. Suddenly he found himself pinned to a gravel covered slope with two fiery red eyes staring him down. The same ones he had looked at when he agreed to take the camp to the mountains, it was Evolo. Fate was in shock, his eyes were wide with fear as Evolo's claw dug into his chest.
"Wh-" Fate didn't have the words, he had trusted the three without question, and the fact it was a hoax baffled him.
"Save it, Fate." Evolo hissed, "We're going to rule this petty camp and make it strong." His words were icy, yet full of bravery.
"Y-You can't do this!" The only thing Fate had managed to say until he blacked out. His tooth necklace fell feebly with him onto the hard stone, blood dripping from his chest and now the side of his head. And with bloodied paws and heads full of secrets, the three left him to die.
Oops I guess I forgot about this story haha
